I love this image. The title is perfect, it really is.
The position of the lighting that suggests that she is further heading into the darker shadows is perfect. She seems so innocent, so at peace with the fact that she's dead. She also seems rather nervous, which is why she isn't progressing forward.
The addition of the kitten makes it all the more innocent an image. It reminds us that even in death, no matter what we've done there is some level of innocence that we cling to. The transparency at her legs, where you can see just a little bit of the kitten tail through the flesh is perfect.
Gorgeous, haunting, moody image. I love the depth of field, and the way the light is at her back and therefore hinting at darkness ahead. The added touch of the kitten is so great too because it reminds you of innocence even though she's heading into the shadows.
Nice piece. I love the vaguely vintage/sepia-tone look. And the blurryness makes it kind of surreal and nightmarish feeling.
The only thing I can suggest improving is softening the edges on the girl. While it's possible that their so sharp because she's considerably closer to the 'camera' than the rest of the background, she's also considerably sharper than the cat, too. It makes her stick a bit awkwardly.
That's about all I have for suggestions. I suck at that.
